The Psychology Department at St. Olaf College is excited to announce a full-time, tenure track position in Social Psychology at the Assistant Professor level, to begin August 2024. Candidates with teaching and research specialties in all subareas of Social Psychology are encouraged to apply. We especially welcome those with an applied research area focus, which may include working with marginalized populations, and/or specializing in topics such as community, health, immigration, work and organizations, or environmental justice.
The St. Olaf Psychology Department is a collegial community including ten permanent faculty whose areas span the breadth of psychology including behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, clinical, developmental, personality, and social psychology. We highly value both teaching and undergraduate research and have an endowment fund to help support research with students. As one of the largest majors on campus, we graduate approximately 70-80 majors each year, our vibrant and exciting program draws students from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of interests. Many faculty members have interdisciplinary interests as well, with connections to a variety of St. Olaf programs. As a Liberal Arts College, our small classes provide many opportunities to engage with students.
