Elon is committed to supporting faculty as teacher-scholar-mentors through the provision of excellent teaching spaces, research facilities and support, and professional development resources.

Teaching will include foundational courses within the major that are suited to the candidate’s expertise (e.g., Introductory Psychology, Lifespan Development, Social Psychology, Research Methods, etc.), advanced or special topics courses that educate students on important DEI topics, and courses in the Elon Core Curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter. Elon is a dynamic private, co-educational, comprehensive institution that is a national model for actively engaging faculty and students in teaching and learning in a liberal arts based residential campus.
