The College of Education and Psychology Department at Tennessee State University, a public, Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in Nashville, Tennessee, invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, academic position at the Assistant/Associate level in the area of Social Psychology, preferably with a focus on African American Psychology. We are seeking a colleague to be part of a large and vibrant Bachelor of Science Psychology Program who would assume the responsibilities of: 1) teaching research sequence courses, including statistics with SPSS instruction, Research Methods, and Senior Project; 2) teaching content courses in area of expertise (i.e., Social Psychology, Psychology of the Black Experience); 3) advising majors; 4) engaging in and maintaining active scholarly research; and 5) providing research mentorship to undergraduate students. Demonstrated research interest and/or experience in diverse, marginalized, or underrepresented populations preferred. The ability to serve on theses and dissertations is highly desirable.
